Pretty Young Thing : Celebrate the Weird

outfit
Pretty Young Things midi floral dress / vintage leather bag / Pull & Bear leather flats / unbranded belt

When I got an email from the team behind Pretty Young Thing, I was so excited because this new clothing line's first collection is filled with vintage-inspired stuff on its most beautiful details. They have the collection classified into three main theme : The Good, The Bad, and The Weird. And lucky me they sent out a beautiful dress for me to present The Weird! A phrase that maybe best to describe my personality. Along with other bloggers (June for The Good and Bethanny for The Bad), I styled up myself in a very simple way to showcase the dress for you. I guess for a dress with details, the best way to wear it is either being simple or emphasize the versatility with additional layers... I'd rather be the first this time. Beside I wore the dress while going on an afternoon walk with my friend slash photographer nearby the university (Gadjah Mada University, as you see the place has been known for the red-lamp poles) so I want to be as light as possible.

I could run and dance without hassle
The dress came in handy, for the light weight and beautiful pleated details (narrow at the top and getting wider by the bottom side). To remember my older habit who loves spending more time at the nature, this dress will be a good companion as well. Sometimes black dresses with over-knee length are not so popular because of its "heavy" accent, but this one is decorated with small flowers all over the surfaces so I didn't pretty much looked like walking on my funeral to-go. Better than what I expected, this dress is :)

On my other side
I have to say that life has been sweet lately. It doesn't mean that everything is perfect - I still skipped my classes just because I keep failing at waking up early in the morning, I forgot to submit one of my assignment, spent some exhausting hours for stupid fights with my long-distanced boyfriend every several days... But beyond that, I grew a bit more discipline and productive as well. Made up some quality hours with friends, catch my deadlines on time... And before getting a full-spare time and days-off I have to struggling on my internship report for the last time. Whatever your goal is, when you believe in yourself, just make a slow and small step in a constant order. Keep going. The destination will soon comes near.

(P.S.: Thank you Pretty Young Things for the dress, Lambok Sinaga for editing the photos and to lend me the lens, Widi for taking my pictures, readers for keep coming back and even leaving comments. Hope to catch up on your blogs soon!)
