Maxi
dresses are a fabulous way to make the most of the sunshine on holiday – they
cover up those areas we might not be fond of, and give us a little longer to
allow the fake tan to build up on our legs before we get them out. Aside from
the practicalities, the floor length skirt also makes us feel equal parts
princess and hippie – a happy combination. Unfortunately
for us more petite ladies, however, maxi dresses can be a logistical nightmare.
Whilst long dresses can make us look taller and longer, as they look fab with a
pair of sky-high wedges, sometimes you might want a maxi for barefoot
walking on the beach. To avoid tripping on the long skirt, why not invest in petite maxi dresses for your summer holiday? If
you’re keen to avoid summer tan strap marks, then grab a strapless bandeau maxi
or perhaps a halter-neck – that way you can adjust the straps when you see fit.
Of course, you should always remember to wear sunscreen with your maxi, as no
matter how good it looks, it’s bound to clash with a sunburnt face!
Finally, if the idea of a full-length maxi dress isn’t your cup of tea, why not ease yourself in with a mid-length dress that rests on your calves? A perfect way to protect your knees from the sun a midi looks fantastic with flip-flops or wedges. Goodluck exploring, ladies! :)
